What's Next For Wandering Adventures

Hi everyone, it's been a while since I posted here, but I wanted to take the chance to talk about a few things that are coming soon and not-so-soon at the store.

So quickly approaching we will be opening a table up here every Wednesday and Thursday for people to come in and have open paint sessions, with me nearby to help out. This will give you a chance to pick my brain and get help painting. It's great for beginners, but also those looking to up their game when it comes to certain techniques. It will also give you an opportunity to try out a lot of the paint that I use. I like to use various colors from different lines, and if there is something you wanted to try but aren't sure if it's any good, this might be a good chance.

As many of you know, we are just about halfway through our leagues, and they have been going really well. The standing have shifted quite a bit, but there are a few front runners that need to be taken down! Either way though, after the leagues are completed in the fall, we will be starting to look at some of the smaller skirmish games for a few months, and enjoy some lower entry points.

First is Malifaux, a personal fave of mine. Horror, Western, Gothic, Magic, there a lot of words you can associate with this lovely little game. Crews are small, and the entry can be done under $150.00. The models are really unique, and the gameplay is a blast. Come by and talk to me about it if you want some more info.

Kill Team is another game we will look at. I'm excited for this because it's going to give me a chance to paint up some units from armies I don't normally play. I don't really want 2000 points of Aeldar, but painting a few minis sounds pretty fun. I still have to look at the game and figure out how to run a campaign (if you already know, come by and let me know!) but once we establish how to run this we will do something a little more structured.

Lastly is Marvel: Crisis Protocol. A lot of know and love our superheroes, and I'm no exception. I hear the rule set is quite good (one of, if not the best) and the minis do a great job showing of the classic characters. We will try to get some regular games going at the store, and give people a chance to play a game that isn't super common around these parts.

That's all for today, if you have any questions or want to help run any of these games, feel free to reach out!
