July Painting Competition – Character Models

Wandering Adventures is back with another Painting Competition.
This time, we’re focusing on the unsung champions of the battlefield—those heroic characters who lead from the front but aren’t quite legends yet.

Entry Requirements:

• A Character model from Warhammer 40K or Age of Sigmar

• No Epic Heroes (named characters)

• No Monsters or Vehicles – character-scale models only

• Must be painted by you – no commissioned work

• One entry per person

• Entries must be dropped off in-store between July 22 and July 31

• No entry fee

Judging Criteria:

Models will be evaluated on the following five categories:

1. Clean Painting – consistency, edge control, and overall execution

2. Highlighting/Shading – use of contrast, transitions, and volume

3. Color Choice & Contrast – palette selection, readability, and balance

4. Basing / Presentation – how the base supports the miniature

5. Overall Impact – the miniature’s presence as a complete piece

Prize:

The winner will receive a Battlefield Trophies box from Games Workshop.
