Pokemon TCG 30th Celebration: What's Inside the Anniversary Set

The Pokemon Trading Card Game turns 30, and the 30th Celebration expansion marks the occasion with a set that breaks its own rules. It landed on September 16, 2026, and it is the first Pokemon set in history to release worldwide on the same day rather than arriving in Japan months ahead of everywhere else. For collectors here in Woodbridge, that means no import wait and no staggered rollout.

Here is what makes this set different from a normal expansion.

Every card is foil. That includes the Basic Energy cards. There is no plain common tier anywhere in the set, so every pack shines from top to bottom.

A brand new rarity debuts. Futuristic Rare cards join the lineup for the first time, and the first two revealed are Mew ex and Mewtwo ex, illustrated by Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN.

Thirty unique Pikachu. Every booster pack contains one of 30 different Pikachu cards, each drawn by a different artist. Chasing all 30 is a set-long project on its own.

Classic reprints return. The Classic Collection brings iconic cards of the past forward with fresh foil treatments, so nostalgic players and newer collectors both have something to hunt for.
