Welcome to Seas Of Infinity.

Welcome to a game where engaging stories are crafted to have players and chroniclers reflect upon being mortal in an infinitesimal cosmos of possibilities. Play a light adventure/story. Observe why a group or tribe always perform a rite or dance during the butchering of the Bull. Why is a ring used as a strong symbol of forever, or emerge in an Epic Adventure, where the players start off with characters that are trying to survive the harsh world only after the Ordeal or Odyssey to be rulers or generals in an epic fight for Light and Darkness.

SEAS of INFINITY The World

Named Seas of Infinity as it best reflects the concept of the cosmic ocean and how the infinite planes wrap around each other much like an onion. These planes are connected through a serial placement along the “Ley Meridian”. The idea is that if one were to continue sailing west in the Seas of Infinity, one would not circumnavigate back to their place of origin, as the Ley Meridian connects the next cycle of a new plane.

SEAS of INFINITY The Game

The game uses a system which reflects a bit more Narrative in a Campaign based RPG. The structure of Myth, Story Arc, and the Human (Mortal) condition is reflected in its rules. Therefore, a playing character would represent one of the 12 archetypes, have a morality/ethics view on Life, Liberty and security. This would not necessarily prohibit a character from acting out against their ethics or morality but experience a minor challenge in trying to overcome their beliefs. Each cause has an effect “E” and the better a character’s ability the higher the “MOD.”

The Dice

Players use a 2D20 system for their cause dice, generating a result from adding the two dice results together. For example, 13 and a 4 would be a result of 17. In this fashion a range of 2 to 40 could be rolled with the highest possibility of any given result being 21. 21 is considered a PAR success and under 21 is SUBPAR and therefore not a success. Reflecting upon the “Cosmic Ocean”, observes the EBB and FLOW of the Cosmos, as well as the dice. When a character Rolls a Raw 40, they have realized their DESTINY! Many things happen, including a higher EFFECT from the results the roll. Also, the Player can start to shape the NARRATIVE of their character by loosely defining their DESTINY and as the campaign continues, this DESTINY will become more realized, influential and clear. When a total of 2 is rolled, the character’s Fate is thrusted upon them and is an adverse relationship the character has with the Cosmos. Finally, EBB: is like the standard fumble in many games and FLOW: Increases the EFFECT of the attempted task.
